Edgar Elliott has been defending lawsuits across the State of Alabama for over 25 years. All of his work has been devoted to defending pharmaceutical and drug manufacturers, health care providers, and the transportation and insurance industry in civil litigation.
Mr. Elliott has appeared before the Federal Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation and successfully argued for the transfer of multi-state pharmaceutical and dietary supplement litigation to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. He has defended multi-state pharmaceutical and dietary supplement litigation in both federal and state courts. He has represented physicians and hospitals in the defense of claims of medical malpractice across the state. He has defended the transportation industry throughout Alabama for most of his career.
Mr. Elliott’s clients include ConAgra Foods, Inc.; Werner Enterprises, Inc.; Scottsdale Insurance Co.; Canal Insurance Co.; Heartland Express Inc. of Iowa; Nationwide Insurance Co.; Millis Transfer, Inc.; Western Heritage Insurance Co.; and Victoria Insurance Co.
Mr. Elliott was a founding member of Christian & Small and was a partner with it’s predecessor firm, Rives & Peterson. He has spent his entire career with these two firms.
Mr. Elliott is currently listed on America’s Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers. He is an active member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, currently serving at the State Representative for Alabama. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute Medical Malpractice Committee. He is also active in the Trucking Industry Defense Association.
Mr. Elliott and his wife have six children. He is the son of a lawyer and the brother of a lawyer.
