Edgar Elliott is a partner in the firm's Litigation practice group. He was a founding partner of Christian & Small and was a partner in it's predecessor firm, Rives & Peterson. He started his practice with Rives & Peterson in 1983.
Mr. Elliott defends civil litigation throughout the state of Alabama in both state and federal trial courts and has done so for over 20 years. Mr. Elliott's practice focuses on the representation of trucking companies in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, insurance companies in bad faith, fraud and coverage matters, and product manufacturers in product liability lawsuits.
Mr. Elliott's representative clients include Werner Enterprises, Inc., Scottsdale Insurance Company, ConAgra Foods, Inc., Heartland Express, Inc., Millis Transfer, Inc., Nationwide Insurance Company, W.E. Love & Associates, National Casualty Insurance Company, Western Heritage Insurance Company and Victoria Insurance Company.
Mr. Elliott is an active member in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel where he is a Vice-Chair of the Membership Development & Retention Committee and a Vice-Chair of the Transportation Section, as well as being a member of other sections relevant to his practice. He is also active in the American Bar Association's Commercial Transportation Committee where he is a Vice-Chair and recently edited its punitive damages compendium. He is active in the Trucking Industry Defense Association and contributes to its publication.
