He has tried many lawsuits, both in Alabama and in Georgia, where he previously practiced as a partner in the trial section of a large Atlanta law firm, defending product liability, malpractice and other negligence lawsuits. Mr. Huckaby currently serves as Alabama litigation counsel for one of the world's largest banks and a major international financial services institution. Mr. Huckaby has defended many class actions and other complex lawsuits, including claims against underwriters and broker-dealers for asserted violations of state and federal securities laws, consumer class claims against banks and other lending institutions, insurance sales practice claims, antitrust claims against pharmaceutical companies and major oil refinerers and claims for environmental damage against manufacturers and property owners.
