Ken Simon is a former circuit judge, having presided over hundreds of jury and non-jury civil cases. He is an experienced litigator focusing on complex business litigation. Mr. Simon previously served on the staff of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. as a staff attorney, branch chief and assistant director of the Enforcement Division. He is an experienced mediator and arbitrator and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and the Birmingham Business Journal's "Best of the Birmingham Bar" for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mr. Simon’s expertise in counseling public agencies was recognized by his peers in the Birmingham Business Journal's "Best of the Birmingham Bar" for Government Relations. Mr. Simon has been named as a special master/receiver in matters ranging from pre-trial case management tasks to distributing proceeds from settlement funds.
