Diversity

Diversity is one of the firm’s core values. We believe that diversity in backgrounds, experiences and ideas enriches our lives and enhances the quality of the work performed by the professionals at Christian & Small. We promote the treatment of every person with dignity and respect. Differences encourage us to look at problems from a fresh perspective and to be creative, thus strengthening our collaborative approach to every matter we handle for our clients. Our commitment to diversity is reflected in every aspect of the firm — from lawyer recruiting and retention, to firm management, to personal involvement in civic organizations that support and promote diversity.

Christian & Small is a Gold Circle Sponsor of the Magic City Bar Association's Scholarship Benefit taking place on October 23, 2008 at Rosewood Hall in SoHo in Homewood, AL. Established in 1984, the Magic City Bar Association was created to promote the professional advancement and community activism of African-American attorneys and judges in Jefferson County, AL. Among the organization's many activities, the MCBA annually provides scholarships to minority law students attending the Birmingham School of Law, Cumberland School of Law, Miles College Law School, and the University of Alabama School of Law. The scholarship recipients will be recognized at the event on October 23rd. Eight lawyers from the firm will be attending the event to show the firm's support of this worthy cause.
